Job description
MIG WelderAllegiance Staffing in Greer, SC is currently seeking production MIG welders for a growing company located in Piedmont, SC. The ideal candidate will have previous MIG welding experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a production environment. All candidates will be required to take a weld test. Pay rate will be determined based on experience and weld test performance.Key Responsibilities:Perform production MIG welding according to company specifications and quality standardsWork closely with the Quality department to ensure weld patterns are consistent and free of porosity, defects, and other flawsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaKeep finished products stacked neatly and free of debrisWork efficiently to meet projected production goalsWork effectively with team members to maintain productivity and qualityLift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.Replace wire drums and welding spools with little to no assistanceFollow all safety and production proceduresPerform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by managementRequired Qualifications:Previous MIG welding experience requiredWelding certificate or on-the-job welding experience requiredMust successfully complete a weld testMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Strong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work in a team-oriented production environmentAbility to maintain a clean and organized work areaAbility to meet production goals while maintaining quality standardsPreferred Qualifications:Prototype welding experience is a plusPrevious production welding experienceWelding certification or formal welding trainingWeld Test Requirements:All candidates must complete a weld testCandidates must bring their own welding helmet to the weld testWeld test performance and previous experience will be considered when determining the pay rate***MUST HAVE WELDING EXPERIENCE, WHETHER THROUGH A WELDING CERTIFICATE OR ON-THE-JOB EXPERIENCE.* ** Core Competencies: MIG Welding, Production Welding, Weld Quality, Quality Control, Blueprint/Specification Awareness, Material Handling, Safety, Attention to Detail, Production Goals, Teamwork, Work Area Organization, Problem Solving
