MIG Welder Shift: 2nd2:30pm to 11:00pm, Monday to Friday Starting Pay: $25 to $27 per hour A manufacturing company in Bedford, OH is looking for a TIG Welder to join their first-shift team. This is a great opportunity for a motivated welder with aluminum experience who is looking for stable, full-time work through a reputable staffing agency.Key ResponsibilitiesFit and assemble diesel fuel tank and hydraulic reservoir components per engineering drawings and print specificationsPerform MIG welding on 12-gauge steel and 1/8" aluminum materialsRead and accurately interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawingsProduce welds that meet both structural integrity requirements and visual/cosmetic quality standardsVerify dimensional accuracy and squareness of fitted assemblies prior to and during weldingInspect completed welds for defects (porosity, undercut, spatter, etc.) and perform touch-up as neededSelect appropriate welding parameters, filler material, and technique based on material type and thicknessMaintain and perform basic upkeep of welding equipment; report equipment issues promptlyFollow all safety protocols, including proper PPE use, ventilation practices, and safe handling of gas cylindersMaintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with 5S/housekeeping standardsCommunicate effectively with 1st shift and supervision regarding job status, material needs, or quality concernsRequired QualificationsMinimum 2+ years of hands-on welding/fitting experience in a metal fabrication environmentDemonstrated ability to weld steel and aluminum (12ga steel / 1/8" aluminum experience preferred)Proficiency in reading blueprints, prints, and weld symbolsStrong fitting skills with attention to dimensional accuracy and fit-up qualityAbility to produce visually clean, consistent welds ("aesthetically pleasing") in addition to structurally sound weldsUnderstanding of proper welding techniques for tank/pressure vessel or liquid-containment applications a plusAbility to work independently and manage time effectively during 2nd shift with reduced supervision on-sitePhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, bend, and work in various positions for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs regularlyComfortable working in a shop environment with exposure to heat, fumes, and noiseManual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precision fitting and welding work
