Job description
MIG WelderThis role focuses on MIG welding structural steel components in a clean, well-equipped job shop environment. You will contribute to a large newly secured project, working with a variety of parts and industries while collaborating closely with a small team of welders and fabricators.ResponsibilitiesPerform MIG welding on structural steel components, including material up to approximately 2 inches in thickness.Read and interpret blueprints to understand weld symbols, dimensions, and fabrication requirements.Set up, operate, and adjust welding equipment to produce strong, consistent, and structurally sound welds.Inspect workpieces and welds to ensure they meet quality standards and project specifications.Collaborate with a team of up to three people to complete projects efficiently and accurately.Follow safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment to maintain a safe work area.Maintain a clean and organized work station, contributing to the overall cleanliness of the facility.Adapt to working on a variety of projects and materials typical of a job shop environment.Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding job status, issues, and improvements.Job Type & LocationThis is a contract to hire position based out of Blacklick, OH.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
