Job Description Job Description LaborMAX Staffing is seeking a Skilled MIG Welder to join a busy production and manufacturing environment. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire welding opportunity with competitive pay based on experience and the potential for long-term employment.

The ideal candidate will have experience with MIG welding, metal fabrication, production welding, and reading welding specifications or blueprints . Candidates should be dependable, safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and able to produce quality welds while maintaining production standards.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform MIG welding (GMAW) on steel and metal components.

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work orders, and welding specifications.

Set up welding equipment and select appropriate welding settings based on material and job requirements.

Inspect completed welds and fabricated components for quality, accuracy, and proper specifications.

Measure and position metal parts prior to welding.

Perform tack welding and final welding of components and assemblies.

Use hand tools, power tools, grinders, and other fabrication equipment as needed.

Prepare metal surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, cutting, and fitting materials.

Identify and correct welding defects or issues to ensure quality workmanship.

Maintain proper welding techniques and production standards.

Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Complete production paperwork and documentation as required.

Perform routine care and maintenance of welding equipment.

Work effectively with the Production Lead and other members of the production team.

Perform additional production and welding duties as assigned.
