Their team supports projects of all sizes from facilities in Indianapolis and Lafayette, Indiana.Elwood Staffing associates are eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package plus an exclusive savings program, including:Medical/Vision/Dental/Rx plansHoliday PayTeladoc (online care)Referral Bonus IncentiveWeekly Pay401kAnd More!MIG Welder Details:Temp-to-Hire position$ 21.00 to $ 22.00 / hourFull Time work availableFirst Shift (Monday through Thursday from 06:00am to 04:30pm)Set up and operate welding equipmentPerform quality welds according to specificationsRead blueprints and weld symbolsEnsure all work meets AWS standards.Be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and experienced in producing high-quality welds in a manufacturing environment.Prepare and set-up weld machines at the start of and during the work shiftRepair and correction of any welding discontinuities identified by quality controlMIG Welder Qualifications:Familiarity with welding equipmentPossess a general knowledge of the fundamentals of weldingQualify and be proficient in performance of company Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS')Demonstrate the ability to change the settings on welding machine to comply with ranges required on company WPS'Understand and weld within limits and tolerances of AWS D1.1 CodeAbility to prepare and weld multiple joints to AWS StandardsExpertise in reading and comprehension of blueprintsHave knowledge and a clear understanding of weld symbolsAbility to stand for the entire shift of 10 hoursPrevious MIG Welding experience of 3+ yearsApplicant may be subject to a background checkPre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
