MIG WelderReports To: Weld Supervisor Department: Weld FLSA Status: Non-Exempt EEO Classification: LaborerPlease monitor your email for communications regarding your application. No phone inquiries please Pay based on skill/experiencePrimary Purpose: Can perform a variety of welding functions. The individual should be familiar with and capable of using various types of welding equipment. Responsible for maintaining quality. Responsible to the JobBoss process and reporting accurate quantities.Essential Duties:Manually guide electrode or gun along weld line, maintaining length of arc and speed of movement to form specified depth of fusion and bead, as judged from color of metal, sound of weld and size of molten puddle.Other Duties: Assist other departments as required/directed. May act as line leader, setting up lines, and checking weld quality of co-workers as required. Other duties as assigned.Minimum Experience and Qualifications:Ability to perform simple shop math and convert decimals to fractional equivalents.Read a calibrated tape measure.Read and interpret blueprintsAbility to read and interpret documents finished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and quality and procedure manuals.Experience: 6 months required in welding 3 year(s) preferred in welding, reading blueprints, and checking weld quality.Physical Demands:Bending/Stooping Frequently (55%-79%)Climbing-Stairs, Ladder, Slope Occasionally (10%-29%)Grasping/Handling Constantly (80%-100%)Kneeling Frequently (55%-79%)Standing Constantly (80%-100%)Twisting Seldom (1%-9%)Lift/Carrying - Distance - Frequency1.1-10 lbs. - Overhead, one-hand carry - Occasionally (10%-29%)11-25 lbs. - To/from floor - Frequently (55%-79%)26-50 lbs. - To/from floor, two-hand - Occasionally (10%-29%)51-75 lbs. - Waist - Occasionally (10%-29%)Schedule/Benefits/Pay:Full-time, M-F 5:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. (occasional mandatory OT).After 30 days-Paid holidays are available60 days-Health benefits are available90 days, anyone 21+ is eligible to sign-up for 401k. $150 allowance to be used anytime during the calendar year for any combination of PPE pertinent to your position, BMH Logoed items and/or steel-toed shoes.
