nWhere You Will Work
nOur Henderson mine and mill are an hour drive apart – separated by the Continental Divide and a 15-mile conveyor system (10 miles underground). The Henderson mine is an underground molybdenum mining operation located approximately 42 miles west of Denver and 10 miles west of Empire. It has been in operation since 1976 and today consists of a large block-cave, underground mining complex feeding a concentrator with a current capacity of approximately 32,000 metric tons per day. It can produce approximately 15 million pounds of molybdenum per year. The Henderson mill is located 15 miles west of the mine, between Dillon and Kremmling.

nWhat You Will Do
nnnPerform component diagnostic replacement and repairs on, but not limited to: Crushers, overlaying conveyor systems, ball mills, auto mills, screen decks, lube systems, compressors, filter drums, hydraulic filter presses, foundry pumps and lubrication systems.

nnPerform mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance: identify potential failures/ noises / wear on agitators, rotors, belts, pulleys, and gear boxes.
n
nnPrioritize and make decisions regarding equipment repair as needed.
n
nnPerform welding (Stick, Tig).
n
nnTrain and mentor other employees.
n
nnMay operate equipment such as: forklifts, overhead cranes, pneumatic air tools, and small mobile equipment.
n
nnAct as a Fill-in Supervisor as needed.
n
nnPerform other duties as required.

n nWhat You Bring To Freeport
nnnTwo (2) years’ experience in mechanical/maintenance crafts (including welder, boilermaker, machinist or facility maintenance/construction) or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance.
n
nnMust have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required mechanical aptitude.
n
nnFPM Diagnostic Mechanic I : The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and technical skills while achieving 35% score on a written assessment where required. This exam is based on technical skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge; as well as safety. Must be able to demonstrate proficient basic welding skills.
n
nnAbility to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures in English.
n
nnAbility to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards.
n
nnAbility read and use schematics and blueprints.
n
nnTime management skills.
n
n nPreferred Qualifications
nnHigh School Diploma or GED
n nWhat We Offer You
nThe estimated pay range for this role is currently $30.50 - $40.50/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
