Job description

Global Talent Partners is excited to present an excellent opportunity for a Veterinarian to join a long-established veterinary hospital in Independence, Kansas.

This position provides considerably more clinical variety than a traditional companion animal role. The hospital cares for dogs and cats alongside large animals, equine patients, pocket pets and exotics, giving veterinarians the opportunity to build a caseload around their own interests.

Whether you're passionate about small animal medicine and surgery or would like to develop experience across mixed animal practice, this is an excellent environment in which to continue building your veterinary career.

About the Practice

This well-established veterinary hospital has been serving the southeastern Kansas community for more than 50 years and has developed a loyal client base across the surrounding region.

The hospital provides comprehensive care for companion animals, large animals and exotic pets, creating an unusually diverse clinical environment.

Services and clinical capabilities include:

Wellness and preventative medicine

Comprehensive physical examinations

The hospital features a dedicated surgical suite capable of supporting a broad range of procedures. Alongside routine surgery, doctors have the opportunity to manage more involved cases including gastrointestinal procedures, ophthalmic surgery and selected orthopedic cases such as amputations and femoral head ostectomies.

In-house laboratory capabilities allow doctors to obtain diagnostic results quickly, while radiography and additional diagnostic resources support efficient medical workups.

Mixed & Large Animal Opportunities

One of the biggest differentiators of this opportunity is the variety available beyond traditional companion animal medicine.

For veterinarians interested in mixed or large animal practice, the hospital provides services including:

Large animal wellness and preventative care

Equine medicine

Cattle medicine

Farm calls

Herd health programs

Large animal obstetrics

Equine dental floating

Coggins testing

Reproductive services

Semen evaluation

Doctors can therefore experience a genuinely varied working day, potentially moving between companion animal consultations and surgery, livestock medicine, equine cases and even exotic patients.

A current veterinarian at the hospital has particular interests in small animal surgery and cow-calf production medicine, reflecting the breadth of cases the practice is equipped to manage.

As a Veterinarian, you'll have the flexibility to develop a caseload that reflects your experience and clinical interests.

You’ll benefit from:
