Job description
Machine Technician I - BurlingtonThis position is responsible for operating mechanized equipment used in food production. The Machine Technician 1 will typically work on one of the following equipment: Wrapper, Delkor, Fallas, Rotary, Depositor.Responsibilities include:Set up / Startup machineEnsure proper operation of machinePerform weight checks as requiredPerform metal detector checks as requiredChange cello rolls as requiredEnsuring proper machinery and setup completed for product changeEnsuring machine is cleaned after product runPerform or assist with light PM'sUnderstand and observe safety rulesPerform all tasks at high efficiency levelsData entry of production results into computerized tracking system every hour or as requiredFollow standard operating procedures for operating machinery effectively and efficientlyTroubleshoot operational issues as necessaryAbility of lift up to 50 pounds to shoulder levelAbility to push and/or pull wheeled objects up to 1000 pounds5S / Housekeeping – maintain cleanliness of areaMay perform other duties as requiredQualifications:Sense of urgency with a hands-on and can do attitudeAbility to read and writeComputer data entry skills or ability to learnAttention to detailMechanical abilityAbility to multi-taskAbility to work in a fast paced environmentAbility to work a variable scheduleGood written and verbal communication skills requiredWe are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.Pay Range: USD $21.25/Yr. - USD $25.25/Yr.
