A hospital outside of Burlington, VT is seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist II - Hematology Specialist to join its laboratory team.
Position Highlights Full-time | Primarily days
80 hours bi-weekly
Initial training on day/evening shifts
$5,000 sign-on bonus for experienced MLS candidates
Serve as a Hematology Section Specialist while working as a generalist across the laboratory
Provide advanced technical support, troubleshooting, QC, staff training, and process improvement
Support test validation, proficiency testing, inventory, and regulatory compliance
Strong benefits package
What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or related science
Accredited clinical laboratory practicum/internship meeting CLIA high-complexity requirements
2 years of clinical laboratory experience as an MLS , or 4 years as an MLT with 2 years of high-complexity testing
Hematology experience preferred
Proven technical skills and initiative
Strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities
Flexibility for weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage
