Philadelphia, PA $71,110 - $102,750 a year

Full Time

Ignite Your Curiosity in the Lab: Join a Dynamic Diagnostic Team Surrounded by City Charm

We're on the lookout for a Medical Lab Scientist who embodies curiosity paired with accuracy—someone committed to enhancing patient care through meticulous sample analysis. In this full-time, daytime position within a busy community hospital located in a vibrant urban area, you will be instrumental in delivering transformative diagnostic insights. You will collaborate closely with dedicated colleagues, and receive a comprehensive rewards package aimed at nurturing your professional journey and personal wellness.

Your Role

Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests—covering chemistry, hematology, immunology, and beyond—according to established guidelines.

Eagerly analyze test results for precision, address errors proactively, and maintain and calibrate lab equipment.

Assist with specimen collection and meticulously prepare samples for testing when necessary.

Thoroughly document all procedures, mentor new team members or students, and contribute to maintaining laboratory quality guidelines.

Promote a clean and safe workspace while adhering to regulatory standards and accreditations.

Education

A degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a related allied health degree, complemented by ASCP/AMT certification readiness.

Certifications

Acquisition of ASCP or AMT Board Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) within a year of joining.

Maintain active certification for the duration of your employment.

Skills

Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with the healthcare workforce.

Capable of exercising independent judgment and problem-solving in dynamic or high-pressure settings.

Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail, particularly regarding quality assurance and documentation.

Benefits

Competitive salary reflective of experience and qualifications.

Comprehensive and competitive benefits including medical, dental, vision, as well as life and disability insurance.

Generous time-off starting on day one, along with vacation and holiday time credited for experienced hires.

Opportunities for continuing education and supportive pathways for professional advancement.

A robust total rewards program focused on complete wellness.

Transforming Numbers into Life-Altering Decisions

Here, your detailed lab analyses inform critical clinical decisions—and enhance patient care. A single slide can confirm an infection, guiding antibiotic treatment; another test may detect a metabolic disorder before any symptoms emerge. Your expertise guarantees the precision that healthcare professionals and patients alike depend on day after day.

A Culture Built on Teamwork

This position is more than a responsibility—it's becoming part of a family. You will join a team that prioritizes continuous development, where seasonal in-lab meetings, skills refreshers, and process enhancement projects cultivate a culture ripe for innovation. You'll be empowered to participate in committees, propose improvements, and even mentor newcomers.

Discovering a Thriving City and Community

Imagine an energetic city alive with culture—historic streets lined with an eclectic mix of shops, bustling markets brimming with local produce and artisanal goods, and a community woven together by festivals and events. Neighborhood coffee shops serve as social hotspots, where discussions range from the latest art exhibits to community initiatives. On your days off, kayak along the scenic waterways or enjoy an evening concert in a park filled with lively rhythms. The local community is warm and welcoming, always ready to lend a helping hand—a quality that shines through in the healthcare sector as well.

In this city, natural beauty is just a walk away, with parks that inspire relaxation, engaging cultural venues, and recreational activities for every kind of adventurer from sports enthusiasts to art aficionados. A hassle-free commute makes traveling a breeze, leading to a lifestyle that delivers both ease and joy. Housing remains affordable, allowing your earnings to stretch towards delightful experiences—gourmet dining, spontaneous road trips, and community gatherings at local parks.

Creating Impact and Pursuing Excellence

In this community, every lab technician is much more than a role—they are a cornerstone of public health. You will witness your influence extend outward: quicker diagnoses, enhanced patient care, and smoother operations. A frequent chorus of appreciation notes showcases more than just accurate lab outcomes, but a deeper acknowledgment of your contribution to timely care delivery.

Now Is the Moment to Amplify Your Impact

If you are searching for more than just a salary—if you are motivated by purpose, growth, and community influence—this is the opportunity for you. Whether you are newly certified or bring extensive experience, you will discover support, inspiration, and room to grow.

Ready to Embark on Your Next Adventure?

Step into a role where your meticulous approach meets a community that cherishes both innovation and warmth—a setting where each lab report tells a powerful story of healing. If you are excited to engage in a position that champions precision, cooperation, and compassion, we can't wait to connect with you.

Apply now and be part of a future where science saves lives—and where the human element shines through every accurate decision.
