If you take pride in quality repairs and want to work on a diverse fleet of newer cargo moving vans and box trucks across multiple brands, join the Avis Budget Group team supporting Budget Truck operations.In this role, your work helps ensure trucks are safe, reliable, and available—directly supporting customer businesses and keeping them moving.What You'll Do:You will perform standard and complex mechanical repairs on a fleet of cargo vans and box trucks with minimal technical supervision. This includes preventive maintenance, oil and fluid services, tire repairs, brake and suspension work, electrical diagnostics, and warranty-related repairs based on your skill level.This role includes mobile repair responsibilities. When a truck or van experiences an issue, you may travel to the vehicle's location to diagnose and resolve the problem efficiently, helping get the customer back on the road as quickly as possible. You may also be required to drive Budget Trucks on public roads as part of repair or transport needs.You will work on newer vehicles across multiple manufacturers, applying your diesel and medium-duty expertise to reduce downtime, improve reliability, and support a positive customer experience.Perks You'll Get:Bi-weekly hourly wage (New York and Puerto Rico: weekly wage)On-the-job training to expand your automotive and diesel repair skills, including support toward ASE certificationsPaid time offMedical, dental and other insuranceFlexible spending account opportunity to contribute up to $270 as a tax-free benefit for public transportation or parking expensesRetirement benefits (401k)Employee discounts, including discounted car rental and discounted prices on the purchase of Avis/Budget cars* Above perks may vary based on full-time/part-time status and locationWhat We're Looking For:Valid Driver's License Class A, B, or CMinimum of 2 years of experience performing mechanical repairs and diagnostics on medium-duty or heavy-duty equipmentAt least 1 ASE certification, with the ability to obtain 2 additional ASE certifications within the first yearWorking knowledge across ASE areas including, but not limited to: Engine Repair, Drivetrain/Axles, Suspension/Steering, Brakes, Electrical, Heating/Air Conditioning, Engine Performance, and Light Vehicle/DieselMust be able to obtain DOT medical clearanceComfortable working outdoors and in a mechanical shop environment with moderate noise levelsMust have a complete set of tools required for automotive and diesel repairBasic computer skills, including typing and data entryMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds, continuously stand, bend, reach, walk, sit and kneel frequently, enter, exit and drive Budget Truck vehicles in all weather conditionsMust be at least 21 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United StatesThis position requires regular, on-site presence and cannot be performed remotelyPrevious Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) experience is preferred and considered a strong advantageWho We Are:Here at Avis Budget Group, you will be joining a team of 25,000 driven people, performing with purpose.
