About the job Mobile Optometrist - $1,000+ per diem - Arkansas
We are seeking an experienced Optometrist to provide mobile eye care services at correctional facilities. This unique opportunity offers flexible scheduling, competitive daily rates, and the chance to serve a medically complex population in a secure environment.
Position Details:
Openings for both part-time (1099) and full-time (W2 or 1099) roles
Minimum daily rate: $1,000; average $1,500-$2,000 per day
Full-time ODs can earn $350,000-$400,000 annually
Full-Time W2 Benefits: 100% employer-covered health insurance
Up to $8,000 annually in CE reimbursements
Up to 4 weeks of unpaid time off
401(k) with employer match

Requirements: Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree
Heavy medical optometry experience required
Residency training preferred; new graduates must have completed a relevant residency
Ability to work independently and travel to multiple sites
Willingness to work in correctional facility settings
Comfortable managing complex ocular and systemic conditions
Excellent communication and organizational skills
