If you are someone who takes pride in helping others and wants to play an important role in saving lives, this could be the opportunity for you!Location: Ada, OKPay: Competitive pay based on experience; additional pay for technical school certification, associate degree's, bachelors' degrees, etc; additional pay if fluent in Spanish; world class paid on-the-job training; $500 bonus after 6 months and $1,000 bonus after 1 year!Benefits: Health, dental, vision, life insurance, long-term disability, 401(k), paid-time-off, $5,000 annual tuition reimbursement, annual uniform allowance, etcDays and Hours: Must be able to work a varied schedule to include early mornings, late evenings, and weekendsWhat We're Looking ForHigh school diploma or GED required; college coursework is a plusMust be able to work a varied schedule to include early mornings, late evenings and weekendsExcellent customer service and communication skillsProfessional, dependable, and punctualStrong attention to detailAbility to work effectively as part of a teamReliable transportation and a working telephoneAbility to stand for extended periodsAbility to regularly lift up to 40 poundsPrimary ResponsibilitiesPerform donor registration, vital signs, medical screening, phlebotomy, heat sealing, and related recordkeeping duties for whole-blood and other collection servicesPerform duties associated with autologous, directed, therapeutic, testing, research, and other specialized blood collection services as assignedStrictly follow all standard operating procedures and ensure blood products are collected in accordance with quality standards established by regulatory agencies, including the FDAAssist the supervisor with verifying and completing daily paperwork and documentationPromptly communicate equipment concerns, venipuncture issues, donor questions or concerns, and other problems to the supervisorContinually assess donor needs throughout the donation processRecognize, evaluate, and assist with appropriate treatment of donor reactionsEducate donors regarding blood donation, including donation frequency and the importance of maintaining an adequate blood supplyMaintain a professional, safe, and welcoming environment for all donorsPerform other duties as assigned by the supervisorMake a difference every day.
