Job description
Altamira Material Solutions is the industry leader in PTFE molding, paste extrusion, plastics machining, and fabrication. We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team. The molding process takes time and requires a patient methodical thinker who enjoys seeing projects through to completion. This position is located at our facility in NW Houston inside the Northwest Industrial Center.
JOB DUTIES:
* Load molds with proper materials and operate equipment with established procedures to produce preformed parts.
* Use measuring devices and perform such operations to assure conformance of the end product to dimensional specifications.
* Responsible for the proper utilization of tools and equipment necessary to produce molded products in accordance with engineering standards.
* Maintain cleanliness relative to the equipment and to the molds after such operations have been performed.
* Ensure that all tools are in good operating condition when molder places them in storage
* Operate a forklift truck, hoist, or crane.
* Maintain a clean and orderly work area, and maintain accurate records and job history
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
* Accredited High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
* One to three months' experience in a manufacturing facility highly desired.
* Forklift experience, preferred
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Self-starter with attention to detail, multitasking ability, and a professional demeanor.
* Positive attitude, integrity, and commitment to excellence.

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
* Be able to use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls
* Be able to reach overhead
* Be able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time
* Be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks
* Be able to lift and/or move 35 pounds of weight frequently throughout assigned workday
