Molding TechnicianPittsboro, NC 27312Employment Type: Contract to Perm Job Category: Industrial Job Number: Pay Rate: $17.00 / hourROTO Molding Tech Pittsboro, NC M-F 7am-3:30pm $17/hr Roto Tech Job DescriptionAssist in the molding of plastic parts: weighing plastic and loading molds, unclamping and removing parts from molds, placement of parts into cooling fixtures, monitoring temperatures and operating oven controls. Responsible for learning all aspects of running the oven. Inspect parts for defects, or quality issues and report non-conforming items to Team Lead and/or Roto Supervisor. Trim excess plastic from molded parts using hand or power tools. Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow safety.Work Environment Rural setting: Exposure to high temps, fumes, dust, and cool temps in the winter Fast-paced, physically active manufacturing setting Steel toe shoes and safety glasses required Standing, walking, bending, and lifting to 35lbs; team lifts for heavier items Schedule: 7:00 to 3:30 Monday through Friday and sometimes SaturdaySkills & Qualifications High school diploma or GED Basic math skills for weighing and measuring materials Ability to use hand and power tools safely Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written/verbal instructions Mostly, the willingness to learn and work as a team Starting wage depending on background and manufacturing experience
