The hospital's RN residency program is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Practice Transition Accreditation Program and Pathway to Excellence, ensuring high-quality training for nurses.Learn About a Day in the Life of a Monitor Technician:The monitor tech shall be responsible for assisting in the care of patients by continual observation of any patient on a cardiac monitor, under the direction of an RN or LPN.Job Requirements:Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent and exhibit proficiency in patient care and oral communication skills.Must obtain and maintain a current certification in BLS CPR. Must maintain any other requirements for each specific department. Must complete required departmental competencies and maintain them through annual review.At least one year of experience as a monitor tech.
