Early Morning LifeguardStart your day with purpose at the YMCA! We're looking for dependable, enthusiastic individuals who enjoy being active, engaging with people, and making a difference in their community. If you're someone who thrives in the early morning and takes pride in creating a safe and welcoming environment, this could be the perfect role for you.No prior certification? No problem—we provide training for the right candidates.Important: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of the Ellis Lifeguard Certification course.What You'll DoOpen the pool on time and set the tone for a positive, welcoming environmentGreet members and create a friendly, respectful atmosphereMonitor all swimmers to ensure safety and enforce pool rulesSupport lap swim operations, including organizing lanes as neededCommunicate clearly with participants about classes and pool proceduresRespond quickly and professionally to any incidents or emergenciesAssist with fun and engaging aquatic programs and eventsPromote YMCA programs and connect members to opportunitiesAttend staff meetings and ongoing trainingsSecure the pool area at the end of your shift unless properly relievedSchedule RequirementWeekday availability for shifts between 4:45 AM – 11:00 AMWhy the YMCA?At the YMCA, you're more than a lifeguard—you're a key part of a team that supports health, safety, and connection in the community.
