Early Morning Lifeguard (4:45 AM - 11:00 AM Weekday Availability Required)
Location: 635 Plymouth Street East Bridgewater, MA

No prior certification? No problem-we provide training for the right candidates.
Important: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of the Ellis Lifeguard Certification course.
What You'll Do
Open the pool on time and set the tone for a positive, welcoming environment
Greet members and create a friendly, respectful atmosphere
Monitor all swimmers to ensure safety and enforce pool rules
Support lap swim operations, including organizing lanes as needed
Communicate clearly with participants about classes and pool procedures
Respond quickly and professionally to any incidents or emergencies
Assist with fun and engaging aquatic programs and events
Promote YMCA programs and connect members to opportunities
Attend staff meetings and ongoing trainings
Secure the pool area at the end of your shift unless properly relieved
Schedule Requirement Weekday availability for shifts between 4:45 AM - 11:00 AM

What We're Looking For At least 16 years old
Lifeguard, CPR/AED, First Aid, and Oxygen certifications (or willingness to obtain-training provided)
Ability to stay alert, focused, and professional at all times
Strong customer service mindset and communication skills
Physically able to perform all lifeguard duties, including water rescues
Reliable and committed to maintaining certification standards
