Job description
An established financial services organization in Florida is seeking a Mortgage Assumption Specialist to join their team in Pensacola.
About the Opportunity:
Shift: Day shift
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: Standard business
Setting: Hybrid (at leastr 3 days a week onsite)
Responsibilities: Review, evaluate, and process mortgage assumption and release of liability requests in accordance with applicable guidelines and procedures
Serve as the primary point of contact for members and coordinate processing from initial request through completion
Manage inbound and outbound calls, written correspondence, and status updates throughout the assumption process
Collect, review, and verify required documentation and route files appropriately to support timely decisions
Track deadlines, maintain accurate loan notes, and help resolve discrepancies, issues, and follow-up items
Qualifications: 1+ year of related work experience
Experience with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry process, including fingerprinting and background checks
Working knowledge of mortgage servicing rules, regulations, investor guidelines, and related company procedures
Experience handling complex member or customer inquiries with tact, patience, sensitivity, and confidentiality
Ability to manage multiple priorities, organize detailed documentation, and meet deadlines
Basic skills in word processing and spreadsheet software
Ability to read, analyze, and communicate complex written documents and instructions
Desired Skills: Associate degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
Experience in banking, lending, mortgage, or other document-intensive financial services environments
Working knowledge of credit union operations and NCUA regulations
Familiarity with mortgage servicing systems, including MSP
Experience supporting mortgage assumptions, Release of Liability requests, or related servicing workflows
