About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated and results-oriented Mortgage Originator to join their team in Welkom . In this role, you will be responsible for generating new mortgage loan business by developing relationships with real estate agents, builders, and potential borrowers. You will guide clients through the entire mortgage process, from application to closing, ensuring a smooth and positive experience. Key Responsibilities
Proactively generate leads and cultivate referral relationships with real estate professionals, builders, and other sources.
Meet with potential borrowers to understand their financial needs and recommend appropriate mortgage products.
Guide applicants through the loan application process, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected accurately.
Stay up-to-date on mortgage products, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential borrowers through consistent follow-up and relationship management.
Collaborate with loan processors and underwriters to ensure timely and efficient loan closings.
Requirements
Proven track record in mortgage origination or a related sales role within the financial services industry.
Deep understanding of mortgage lending guidelines, products, and regulations (e.g., FHA, VA, Conventional).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet sales targets.
NMLS certification or willingness to obtain it.
