Job description
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of tandem axle dump trucks to haul materials. Transports heavy equipment using double-/triple-axle trailers. Performs renovation and construction of athletic fields. Operates front-end loaders, skid steer loaders, tractors with various attachments, laser graders, and sod cutters; performs additional related manual work as required. May lead a small crew.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified candidates to possess the following:
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in operating heavy-duty earth-moving equipment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include:
• Experience in construction/maintenance of athletic fields,
• Experience operating a roto-tiller/aerator/laser grader,
• Experience operating a tractor/front-end loader/skid loader,
• Experience operating a roller/top dresser/sod cutter/cone/plane laser grader,
• Experience leading a small crew/directing the work of others, and
• Florida Green Industries Best Management Practices (GI-BMP) Program Certification.
