Job description
Stacker PositionAmarr, a part of ASSA ABLOY, the global leaders in opening solutions, is a performance driven manufacturing organization committed to safety, quality, and operational excellence. The Stacker is responsible for securely banding completed garage door sections or full doors into bundles and stacking them for storage, quality inspection, or shipping preparation. This position ensures safe handling, proper organization, and damage-free packaging supporting efficient warehouse flow and on-time delivery.Shift: Monday - Thursday; 6am - 4:30pm with occasional overtimeKey ResponsibilitiesStack completed garage door sections and finished doors according to established procedures and quality standards.Safely band, package, and secure products for storage, transport, and shipment.Verify product quantities, specifications, and identification markings to ensure accuracy.Inspect products for visible defects or damage and report quality issues to the appropriate personnel.Apply proper labels, tags, and documentation to finished products.Operate packaging and banding equipment according to safety and operational guidelines.Assist with moving materials and retrieving required supplies from designated storage areas.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company safety standards.Follow production schedules and work instructions to meet daily output requirements.Support cross-training and assist in other production areas as needed.Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.Position RequirementsAbility to accurately follow verbal and written instructions.Basic math skills with the ability to read a tape measure.Basic computer skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to work overtime when needed.Other Job Responsibilities and Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 45 lbs. unassisted with or without reasonable accommodation.Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull materials weighing more than 45 lbs. using team lifting procedures.Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods (8–12 hours per shift).Ability to safely move and operate material handling equipment throughout the manufacturing floor.Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, climb stairs and/or ladders as required for job tasks.Ability to use hands, wrists, and fingers for handling materials, writing, and computer work.Ability to work in a loud, fast-paced industrial environment.Ability to work in hot and cold environmental conditions.Benefits include Medical/Dental/Vision, Paid Time Off, and a 401k plan (with an automatic 3% company contribution, regardless of your contribution) among others.Our goal is to be a world-leading company that attracts diverse talent, where all team members feel safe being their true selves and are able to thrive in a work environment that promotes change, innovation, and provides equal access and opportunity.We are part of a global company, ASSA ABLOY with a diverse range of opportunities, both locally and abroad.
