Job description
The salary range for this position is $38.31 - $53.63 (Hourly Rate).
Placement within the salary range is dependent on several factors such as relevant work experience and internal equity.
For positions represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range is guided by the rules outlined in the collective bargaining agreement.

Description
The MRI Technologist reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities
Maintains accountability for patient safety throughout the imaging process, including screening, preparation, monitoring, and post‑procedure care.
Produces diagnostic‑quality images using approved protocols and professional standards.
Applies professional judgment within approved protocols to optimize image quality and address imaging challenges.
Reviews images prior to exam completion and initiates corrective action when diagnostic adequacy is not met.
Administers contrast in accordance with policy, including screening for contraindications and patient monitoring (as applicable).
Operates imaging equipment and maintains imaging room readiness.
Identifies equipment performance issues and initiates follow‑up through established service processes.
Coordinates exam flow and prioritizes time‑sensitive studies.
Maintains accurate and timely documentation in medical record and image archive system, including exam set‑up, image routing, result availability and charging accuracy.
Adheres to organizational values, ethical standards, and compliance requirements.
Consistently upholds all applicable quality and safety standards within diagnostic imaging, such as radiation safety, MRI safety, infection prevention measures and other safe practices to protect self, patients, visitors, and team members.
Ensures a positive patient experience throughout care delivery.
Supports department initiatives to improve relationships, reliability, efficiency, and growth.
Supports additional responsibilities aligned with patient care and department needs.
Performs MRI safety screening, including implant and foreign body evaluation, and ensures appropriate clearance prior to exposure to the magnetic field.
Enforces controlled access and safe practices within the MRI environment.
Produces diagnostic‑quality MRI images using approved protocols and professional standards.
Applies professional judgment within approved protocols to optimize image quality and address imaging challenges.
Reviews images prior to exam completion and initiates corrective action when diagnostic adequacy is not met.
Administers contrast in accordance with policy, including screening, IV access when required, monitoring, and response to adverse events.
Safely operates MRI equipment and maintains imaging room readiness.
Identifies equipment performance issues and initiates follow‑up through established service processes.
Coordinates exam flow and prioritizes time‑sensitive studies.
Maintains accurate and timely documentation in EPIC and Visage, including exam set‑up, image routing, result availability, and charging accuracy.
Adheres to organizational values, ethical standards, certifications, and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) OR American Registry of MRI Technologist (ARMRIT).
Basic Life Support (BLS).
