Job description
*Eligible for up to $2,000 Sign On Bonus if hired*
Baptist Health is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our MRI Department at Baptist Downtown in Jacksonville, FL. This is a Part-Time Days opportunity working Thursday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm and Saturday 6:30am-7:00pm.
This MRI Technologist will be responsible for performing MRI exams on patients, ensuring high-quality diagnostic procedures and patient safety. In addition to performing MRI exams on patients, this MRI Technologist will prepare patients for MRI exams and explain the procedure to them. The MRI Technologist will work closely with Radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnostic information. This MRI Technologist will operate the MRI equipment.
MRI Technologist Responsibilities:
Performing high-quality (MRI) procedures
Promoting goodwill among coworkers and other departments, and maintaining a positive, comforting demeanor with all patients
Maintain compliance with mandatory education and health requirements
Taking every precaution to protect oneself, the patient, and others from potential harm relating to the magnetic field
Identifying, preparing, administering, and documenting medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner in accordance with state and federal regulations or Lawful institutional policy
Experience Requirements:
MRI Technologist Experience Preferred
Imaging Experience Preferred
Experience working in a hospital setting Preferred
Experience in Radiology Department Preferred
Customer Service Experience Preferred
Education & Credential Requirements:
Vocational School
American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) Required Or
Registered Technologist in Radiography ARRT (R) Required Or
Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) Required Or
Registered Technologist in Magnetic Resonance Imaging ARRT (MR) Required Or
Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
*If CRT or ARRT (R) must obtain ARRT (MRI) registry within 18 months of hire.
This position will be located at Baptist Downtown in Jacksonville, FL.
