Job description
Role Overview:
The MRI Technologist I is responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures to assist in diagnosis, therapeutic, or research activities. They independently operate MRI equipment, prepare and administer medications as prescribed, and analyze imaging data for quality and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure proper patient identification and preparation, utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply safety principles to minimize risks. They evaluate images for quality, verify data transfer, and assist with interventional procedures. The role includes patient education, monitoring, and supporting licensed practitioners.
Qualifications & Skills:
Candidates must hold a relevant certification such as ARRT, NMTCB, or ARMRIT and have graduated from a radiologic technology program. New graduates need to obtain certification prior to employment. Knowledge of MRI safety, imaging principles, and experience in clinical environments are essential.
