Primary Duties and Responsibilities
As the MRI Technologist you will perform basic and complex MR imaging procedures as well as post‑processing responsibilities. This will require an in-depth understanding of human cross‑sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology and medical terminology. You will be expected to support all imaging centres staffed by our organisation. You will be required to maintain a high degree of accuracy in patient positioning and image acquisition/formation. You will also need to apply your knowledge of magnetic field safety and properly screen all patients and visitors prior to admittance into the MR magnet room. You will:
Ensure accurate processing of radiology orders
Maintain accurate up‑to‑date records of procedures performed
Operate a variety of post‑processing/3D workstations
Perform accurate image archival
Prepare and administer paramagnetic contrast media
Sensitively handle physical and emotional needs of the patient

Salary Range: $52.22 - $68.84 Hourly
Job Qualifications
As a condition of employment, the final candidate who accepts an offer of employment will be required to disclose if they have been subject to any final administrative or judicial decisions within the last seven years determining that they committed any misconduct; or have filed an appeal of a finding of substantiated misconduct with a previous employer.
A combination of the ARRT and ARMRIT (MR) – required
Graduate from a AMA Radiologic Technologist Program – required
Venipuncture certificate – preferred
AA or BS – preferred
At least 1 year of MRI experience – preferred
Ability to adapt to advancements and changing technologies
Ability to identify contraindications for exams
Excellent communication, interpersonal and independent decision‑making skills
Familiarity with clinical billing (IDX codes)
Knowledge of human anatomy and pathology
Strong attention to detail and multi‑tasking abilities
You will be required to rotate to all radiology sites staffed by UCLA Health
