AMI is seeking a Per Diem MRI Technologist to join the team in the Egg Harbor Township, NJ office location. This is a great opportunity to join a growing outpatient Radiology practice.
Per Diem employment includes a consistent shift of Wednesday 7:30 am–6 pm, with additional coverage opportunities available. Scheduling is based on employee availability and department needs.

Responsibilities
Operate all aspects of the MR scanning unit, incorporating extensive knowledge of system's computer and all program modalities to perform scanning procedures and transfer images to film or software for interpretation.
Evaluate screening to ensure patient safety in the magnetic field.
Consult with the Radiologist and implement proper scanning protocols as directed.
Complete daily work schedule, document in Zotec and on any required forms.
Monitor patient flow and accommodate unscheduled patients and add-on studies.
Perform all quality control testing, equipment calibrations, warm-up and shut-down procedures with proper documentation, as per office policy.
Advise the Chief Technologist/Office Administrator of the need for all maintenance, service and repair work.
Participate in office meetings, in-service programs, continuing education programs and other designated activities.
Respond to office codes, policies and procedures to ensure optimum patient, employee, visitor and physical plant safety and security.
Demonstrate competency in dealing with patients in all age categories: neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric.
Perform all other duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited MRI program, registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT), and MR Board Certified.
Current and valid American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification prior to start of employment.
Willing to receive training and certification in venipuncture for injection of contrast media via butterfly needle and IV catheter; if not currently certified, willing to obtain certification. In-house training will be provided.

Generous shift differential of $15.00 per hour after 8 pm on weekdays and after 12 pm on Saturdays.
