Job title: MTA Safety Manager
Location: Floral Park, Long Island, NY.
Pay Rate: $60 - $65/hour

About the Role:
We are seeking an MTA Safety Manager (Responsible for overseeing overall site safety for MTA/LIRR station construction projects, ensuring compliance with LIRR Track Safety, NYC DOB, OSHA, and project-specific safety requirements)
Role & Responsibilities
Manage overall site safety operations for MTA/LIRR station construction projects, ensuring compliance with MTA, LIRR, NYC DOB, and OSHA requirements.
Serve as the Head of Safety, overseeing contractors, subcontractors, and field personnel and enforcing project-specific safety plans and procedures.
Conduct daily site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
Ensure LIRR Track Safety compliance for work performed on or near active railroad tracks, coordinating safe work activities with LIRR personnel.
Lead safety training, toolbox talks, incident investigations, and emergency response activities while maintaining required safety documentation and records.
Skills, Education, and Experience
Demonstrated safety experience
Experience as the head of safety on at least one (1) transit, commuter rail, or design-build project.
Track Safety Trained for LIRR.
Successful completion of the 40-hour NYC Department of Buildings Site Safety Manager Course.
Successful completion of the 30-hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health (29 C.F.R. §1926) Course.
