About AER Systems
AER Systems is a technology-enabled HVAC/mechanical contractor based in Carlsbad, CA, holding a C-20 license and SDVOSB/DVBE certification. We work across construction, service, and a proprietary asset-intelligence platform (AERIQ) — combining hands-on craftsmanship with modern tools to build smarter, more reliable systems. We're growing fast and looking for a Project Manager who wants to build something, not just manage a punch list.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced HVAC/mechanical Project Manager with a multifamily construction background to own project delivery from preconstruction through closeout. You'll work closely with our Director of Operations, subcontractors, and general contractors to keep jobs on schedule, on budget, and built right.
What You'll Do
Own the full project lifecycle for multifamily and commercial HVAC installations — scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and closeout
Coordinate subcontractors, field crews, and suppliers to keep jobs moving
Serve as the primary point of contact for GCs, owners, and clients on assigned projects
Track project costs and flag budget risk early
Ensure jobsite safety and quality-control standards are met
Support estimating and preconstruction efforts as needed
What We're Looking For
3+ years of Project Management experience in HVAC/mechanical contracting
Multifamily construction background strongly preferred
Experience with California prevailing wage / public works projects a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills — you'll be the face of AER to clients and GCs
Comfortable owning a job site independently and making decisions in real time
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $95,000–$115,000 DOE
Monthly vehicle and cell phone reimbursement
