Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician - Islip
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician - Islip to join our well-established client based in Islip .
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, hands-on maintenance professional with a strong electrical and/or mechanical background.
Our client is open to candidates from a variety of environments, including manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, facilities, and other industrial settings. You do not need to have experience in every aspect of the position, as training will be provided on site-specific requirements, including areas such as racking repairs.
This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a Maintenance Engineer , Facilities Technician , or Site Maintenance Technician .
Rates of Pay:
£36,145 per annum
Shift Pattern:
Monday to Friday
08:00 - 16:00

Day-to-Day Duties:
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician, you will work:
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
Responding to reactive maintenance requirements and breakdowns
Fault finding and diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues
Completing general electrical and mechanical repairs
Carrying out maintenance and repairs across the site
Supporting the maintenance of equipment, machinery, and site facilities
Assisting with racking repairs following appropriate training
Identifying faults and taking appropriate action to minimise downtime
Completing maintenance records and associated documentation
Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
Supporting continuous improvement across the maintenance function
Working closely with colleagues to keep the site safe and operational
Essential Skills:
To be successful as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician, you will need:
Previous hands-on electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience
Experience gained within manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, facilities, or another industrial environment
Experience with planned and/or reactive maintenance
Good practical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
A hands-on and flexible approach
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good understanding of health and safety within a maintenance environment
An ONC qualification is not essential.
Training:
Site-specific training provided, including racking repairs
Ongoing support and development
Opportunity to develop electrical and mechanical maintenance skills
