Multi-Tiered Systems of Support Coach (MC)

Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, physical, and social/emotional growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society. The MTSS Coach will provide job embedded professional development and procedural support in the areas of classroom management, Response to Intervention, Social-Emotional Learning, and Restorative Practices. The MTSS Coach will be responsible for developing, leading, implementing, monitoring, and collaborating with other educators in the school-wide integration of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support in addition to communicating with parents and working on campus committees.

Knowledge of Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS) for assigned area. Knowledge of curriculum design, implementation, evaluation, and Knowledge of effective instruction and evaluation. Knowledge of continuous improvement. Skill in using technology as a learning tool in all content. Skill in engaging others in collective inquiry and problem. Skill in collecting, analyzing, and using data to support student. Skill in communicating effectively, both verbally and in Ability to collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional Ability to organize and prioritize work. Knowledge of the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support framework and its

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and valid Texas Teacher Certificate with required endorsements and a minimum of three years of classroom teaching experience. A Master's degree is preferred.

Instructional Support: The MTSS Coach will provide instructional support by providing informal and/or formal coaching cycles with classroom teachers at the direction of an administrator, solicit and provide specific feedback, and participate in and provide professional development.

Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students. Implement multi-tiered systems of support including Positive Behavioral Intervention Systems, Restorative Practices, Trauma Informed Practices and Social Emotional Learning. Monitor and report student progress according to campus and District guidelines in a timely manner. Take necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and Use appropriate and district approved instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned. Help students analyze and improve demonstration of School Wide Expectations of Safe, Respectful, and Responsible behaviors by providing frequent feedback on areas of strength and identifying replacement behaviors to address areas of need.

Develop and submit lesson plans, including substitute lesson plans, as required utilizing the District provided Assist in monitoring students and creating a safe campus environment by reporting to duty assignments as assigned by the principal or the Director of Student Services. Attend campus events and extracurricular activities, as Assist in selection of books, equipment, and other instructional Compile, maintain, and submit reports, records, and other documents, as Plan and supervise assignments of volunteers in the classroom, when Follow District and department policies and Respond in a timely manner to requests for support from campus and district Use effective communication skills to present information accurately and Use instructional technology to strengthen the teaching/learning

Support the mission and vision of the campus and Analyze critical needs in assigned areas and work collaboratively to implement and improve Design and facilitate professional development to district staff and Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues, students, parents, and community Foster positive morale by participating in team building activities and the decision-making Communicate and collaborate with campus/department staff to enhance service delivery, program development, and customer satisfaction.

Participate in professional development activities to improve job-related skills that are aligned with campus and program specific needs. Attend and participate in faculty meetings and serve on staff committees, as Comply with policies established by federal and state law, including but not limited to State Board of Education and local Board policy. Perform other job-related duties as Provide guidance and direction as assigned.

Maintain emotional control under frequent stress. Work with frequent interruptions. Use a computer for a prolonged period resulting in repetitive hand motion. Lift and carry up to 20 pounds. Move textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom materials. Work occasional prolonged or irregular hours.

Work is normally performed in an interior work environment.
