Operations ManagerAt Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin Company, we are at the forefront of designing and manufacturing advanced helicopters for both commercial and military missions. Our Aerostructures group, based in Bridgeport, CT is dedicated to the structural assembly of our fixed-wing aircraft. We are committed to innovation, excellence, and delivering top-quality products to our customers.The Sikorsky Aerostructures Product Center is responsible for the manufacture, procurement and assembly of helicopter airframe details, and structures. The Product Center has an immediate opening for an Operations Manager at our Bridgeport, CT facility where detail, plumbing, sub-assembly, and component assembly activities are conducted in support of UH/HH-60M, HH-60W and CH-53K components, spares and modification work.This position is responsible for providing leadership and managing all aspects of the Bridgeport, CT facility operations including managing approximately a team of non-represented salary and represented hourly employees. Primary responsibilities include: leading all daily manufacturing operations activities, proactively developing and implementing effective process improvements, coordinating daily requirements for Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Management, Quality and Material Logistics support, development of methods, metrics and organizational goals to achieve on-time, on budget, defect free delivery of airframe structures and associated components.Joining Sikorsky means becoming part of a team that is dedicated to innovation and excellence. Additionally, you will benefit from a competitive compensation and benefits package.Basic Qualifications:10+ years of management and supervisory experience with5-7 years in a manufacturing environment, preferably Aerospace, related disciplinesCandidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree at minimum for consideration.Prior scheduling experience for aircraft assembly operations.Prior experience in data reporting through Tableau.Proficient in Microsoft Office SuiteDesired Skills:B.S./BA in operations, or a technical preferredAerospace & Defense Industry experience (preferred)Strong communication and interpersonal skillsStrong understanding of Collective Bargaining and leading a represented workforceProven track record of interpersonal skills focused on team buildingPay Information:Full-Time Salary Range: $ - $ Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Flexible work arrangements and schedules (e.g., 4x10), 401(k) match, Paid time off, Holidays, Parental Leave, EAP, Flexible Spending Accounts, Education Assistance, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability.
