Job description
Material Coordinator ManagerManages multiple material expediting positions, management and support activities within various sections. These may include but not limited to, aviation tool room operations, HAZMAT management, Production Support Areas, Warehousing and Shipping. Oversees production systems integrity and drives inventory optimization to minimize cost. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Candidate will also serve as the department's Command Media SME and will participate in all Command Media creation, corrections, and updates.Duties Will Include:First line leader for all Material Coordinators – Tool Room, PSA, WarehouseManages and maintains Material Coordinator ScheduleManages the Material Purchase request process for all toolingResponsible for all disciplinary and Union actions for Material CoordinatorsAnswer all IPARs concerning the Tool Room and PSAsAnswer all Out of Tolerance reports for calibrated toolsMaintain a broken tool reconciliation programMaintain the calibration programPerform periodic audits on tool room and warehouse processesAssist in the tool room and warehouse when necessaryInterface with Production Operations Leadership on all matters concerning floor supportCross train all Material Coordinators to be functional in both the Tool Room and the warehouseServe as the department's Command Media SME and will participate in all Command Media creation, corrections, and updatesTrain all new Material Coordinator employeesAssist with hiring on all Material Coordinator requisitionsManage Production Site Area (PSA) audits for material and HAZMATBasic Qualifications:Prior L code or leadership experienceIn depth knowledge of aircraft tool room operationsIntermediate Microsoft Excel skillsStrong organizational skillsExperience in a production environmentAbility to work independentlyProven advanced problem solving skillsKnowledge of production control processesFamiliar aviation tools and tool room processesProven communication skills to both internal and external customersAbility to learn ERP systems, specifically SAPExperience working in a schedule driven environmentInventory management experienceDesired Skills:SAP experienceTCMAX experienceGOLD and/or ELMS experienceFamiliar with LM Command MediaPrior crew chief or experience with aircraft maintenanceExperience on the SOF GLSS contract, at the fixed wing facilities is a plusExperience supporting aircraft modification installation operationsProduction Planning and Control experienceAdvance Microsoft Excel skillsPay Information:GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States.
