The Multimodality Technologist is a Radiology Technology who is trained, qualified and competent in at least two of the below disciplines. The technologist is expected to work in any area for which they are qualified based on the operational needs of the department.
General Diagnostic Radiology
CT
MRI
Mammography
Interventional Radiology
Ultrasound
Nuclear Medicine/PET
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.
Must be able to meet the requirements for the National Registry (ARRT) and pass the examination.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 5. Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
NJ state license for Diagnostic Radiology (D.R).
Registration with the ARRT - one or more of the following modalities: MRI (or ARMRIT), CT, Xray, IR, or Mammography.
NJ state license and Certification in Nuclear Medicine only if secondary modality is in Nuclear Medicine.
AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
