Certified Nursing Assistant
As a Certified Nursing Assistant, your role is pivotal in supporting healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring the well-being of individuals across diverse healthcare settings. Collaborating closely with registered nurses and medical staff, CNAs play a crucial role in providing compassionate and efficient care to patients.

Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
Provide mobility assistance and assist with patient transfers.
Communication:
Effectively communicate with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team.
Report changes in patients' conditions to the supervising nurse.
Accurately document patient care activities in a timely manner.
Support to Healthcare Team:
Collaborate with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized patient care environment.
Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
Safety and Infection Control:
Follow established protocols for infection control and safety.
Adhere to proper lifting and transfer techniques for the safety of patients and healthcare providers.
Observation and Reporting:
Observe and report any changes in patients' physical or emotional conditions.
Monitor and assist with medication administration as directed by the nursing staff.
Professional Development:
Participate in ongoing training and educational opportunities to maintain and enhance CNA skills.
Stay informed about changes in healthcare regulations and best practices.
Qualifications:
Certification: Completion of a state-approved CNA training program and current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in Connecticut.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Compassion: Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
Physical Stamina: Physical fitness and ability to perform tasks that involve lifting and moving patients.
Regulatory Compliance: Adherence to state and federal regulations governing healthcare practices.
