Job description
Machine OperatorMachine Operator position on 1st shift in the Napkins Department.Effectively operates and monitors machines in production department.Tasks and responsibilities include the following:Starts, stops, and clears jams from the equipment.Changes labels or wrapper film as needed.Maintains product quality.Accurately completes required paperwork and cycle counts.Exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others, and works to maintain constructive working relationships.A commitment to company-wide quality and safety is required.Performs other related duties as required and assigned.Other duties may be assigned.Knowledge and skills:Ability to work as a team leader.Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast paced distribution environment.Ability to communicate with management and coworkers in order to meet departmental goals.Ability to understand written and oral instructions.Ability to perform basic mathEducation and work experience:Continued education preferred.1 year prior experience and/or training in the distribution/manufacturing environment preferred.Certificates, licenses, registrations:None.Physical demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use repetitive hand motions.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to reach overhead, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and lift up to fifty (50) pounds.Pay:We offer competitive pay based on job-related skills, experience, relevant education, training, and geographic location.The starting hourly pay rate is $17.00.Actual pay will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, the Company's compensation guidelines, and business needs.Unique Industries, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and affords equal opportunity to all applicants and employees for all positions without regards to race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, veteran status or any other status protected under local, state or federal laws.
