This Innovation is a key part of what we do here at Hoffmaster, and we continue to drive the industry forward by investing in our employees and state-of-the-art technology.GENERAL SUMMARY:Napkin Machine Operators run our napkin machines to produce various sizes and styles of paper napkins. This position requires operating the machine in safe manner while following established safety policies, properly tracking the raw materials used and the finished good produced and keeping the machine at 5S standards. An Operator must be able to work overtime when required and perform other duties as assigned by their supervisor or team lead.ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Efficiently operate the assigned napkin machine in a safe manner, meeting daily established production goalsEfficiently perform machine make-readiesAccurately report daily production of machineRead and interpret a manufacturing order to ensure finished product meets specificationsEffectively troubleshoot machine issues and make adjustments as neededWork overtime as necessary to cover other shift operators and meet overall production demandEnsure correct product (raw materials, sizes, ink colors, quantities, etc.) are being manufacturedDocument and quality check output of machines to ensure consistency and qualityWear appropriate PPE and conduct work with a safety-focused mindset, follow all company safety policiesReport any unsafe acts or conditions to the supervisor or lead personMaintain 5S standardsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment; paper converting and/or printing machinery preferredKnowledge of best practices and procedures for machine operationSkill in oral and written communicationBasic math skills requiredSkill in working well with others / teamworkAbility to flexible, self-directed, and motivated to improve processesAbility to be patient and adaptable to unforeseen changesAbility to work overtime when neededAbility to come to work prepared, on-time, and with a positive attitudePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Involves working in a manufacturing plant/warehouse floor which requires PPE (safety shoes, ear and eye protection).The ideal candidate will have a great work ethic, be willing to learn new things, and have dependable attendance.SHIFTS:D shift: (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and every other Saturday) (7:00PM-7:15AM)B shift: (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Saturday) (7:00PM-7:15AM)C shift: (Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Sunday) (7:00AM-7:15PM)3rd shift: (Monday - Friday) (11:45PM- 7:00AM)At Hoffmaster, we believe every person deserves to feel successful.
