National Director of Sales & Dealer Development

Employment Type: Full-Time

Industry: Powersports – Motorcycles, Electric Off-Road Motorcycles, ATV / UTV / SSV

Reports To: President

About the Company

American Shineray Co., Inc. is a U.S.-based powersports importer and distributor headquartered in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Our product portfolio includes gasoline-powered motorcycles, electric off-road motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, and other recreational off-road vehicles.

We are building multiple powersports brands and distribution channels in the United States, including franchised and independent powersports dealers as well as selected national retail partners.

National Director of Sales & Dealer Development will serve as a senior member of the U.S. management team and will be responsible for building and managing the Company's dealer network, driving wholesale sales, supporting state licensing and regulatory processes, developing industry relationships, and executing the Company's U.S. go-to-market strategy.

This is a hands-on executive role suited for an experienced powersports professional who understands how OEMs and distributors work with dealers, state agencies, industry partners, finance providers, service partners, and other stakeholders.

National Director of Sales & Dealer Development will work directly with the President, who retains responsibility for overall corporate strategy, product strategy, major pricing decisions, budgets, investment decisions, and coordination with the Company's international headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute the Company's U.S. dealer network expansion strategy.

Identify, recruit, evaluate, and onboard qualified powersports dealers throughout the United States.

Establish a disciplined dealer development pipeline from initial prospecting through dealer agreement, first order, and ongoing account development.

Drive wholesale sales performance across motorcycles, electric off-road motorcycles, ATV, UTV, and ORV product lines.

Develop regional and national sales plans, forecasts, dealer targets, and account development strategies.

Monitor dealer performance, inventory levels, sell-through, reorder activity, and market feedback.

Recruit and manage regional sales representatives or independent sales representatives as the dealer network expands.

Conduct regular dealer visits, product presentations, sales meetings, demo events, and industry events.

U.S. Licensing & Regulatory Coordination

Serve as a key U.S.-based management representative for state distributor, manufacturer, wholesale, dealer, salesperson, or related licensing matters where applicable.

Work closely with outside licensing consultants, attorneys, regulatory agencies, and internal management to support state-by-state licensing applications and renewals.

Where legally permitted, qualified, and specifically authorized by the Company, serve as an officer, responsible representative, qualifier, designated manager, or other required representative for licensing purposes.

QualificationsRequired

5+ years of experience in powersports, motorcycles, ATV/UTV, recreational vehicles, or a closely related dealer-distribution industry.

Significant experience in powersports dealer development, wholesale sales, territory management, OEM/distributor sales, or dealer network management.

Demonstrated ability to recruit and develop independent or franchised dealers.

Strong relationships and credibility with dealer principals and industry professionals.

Experience working with an OEM, importer, distributor, or national powersports organization strongly preferred.

Experience managing sales pipelines, forecasts, dealer agreements, pricing programs, and commercial negotiations.

Comfortable working directly with an international headquarters and a multi-cultural management team.

Willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States, including regular dealer visits and industry events.

Highly Preferred

Existing dealer relationships within the motorcycle, electric motorcycle, ATV, UTV, or ORV industries.

Experience supporting manufacturer, distributor, dealer, or salesperson licensing in multiple U.S. states.

Familiarity with state DMV/MVD licensing processes and dealer franchise/distribution requirements.
