National Sales Manager – Runway to Vice President
Location: near Edison, NJ
Base Salary: $150,000-$160,000 + Bonus (OTE: $220-250k; Long-Term Earnings Potential: ~$300k)

National Sales Manager – Description
With more than 25 years in business, our client has experienced consistent year-over-year growth and continues to see strong demand for their electrical and electronic engineered products across a significant, diversified Fortune 500 customer base. They’re looking for a National Sales Manager who can build on that momentum, expand existing relationships and develop new business while helping the company keep pace with continued demand. With fewer than 20 employees generating nearly $15 million in annual revenue, this is a small but highly successful team with a strong base of repeat commercial and industrial customers. You’ll work closely with the company’s current sales leader, who is planning to step back from the day-to-day over the next two years, providing the opportunity to learn the company and its customers while gradually taking on greater responsibility. Over time, the role is designed to expand into broader commercial leadership with a path toward a Vice President position.

You’ll work directly with the ownership team that built the company from the ground up, learning from the people who know it best while positioning yourself to become part of its next chapter of leadership.
National Sales Manager – Responsibilities
Grow existing OEM relationships while developing new customer opportunities
Own direct sales activities from initial outreach through closing
Manage and support independent manufacturing representatives across the US
Guide opportunities from initial requirements through quoting, negotiation and order
Partner with customers on product specifications, applications and custom requirements
Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing and suppliers to support customer projects
Review pricing and quotes to ensure competitive and profitable solutions
Provide sales forecasts and market feedback to ownership and internal teams
Work alongside the current sales leader to learn the business, customers and sales process
Take on increasing responsibility for sales leadership and broader commercial initiatives
National Sales Manager – Qualifications
5+ years of experience leading internal sales teams and/or outside manufacturing reps
Experience selling B2B solutions within a manufacturing or engineering-driven environment
Travel required: Willing to work onsite when not traveling
