Intertek supports our clients striving to meet the growing global infrastructure requirements and demands for secure and sustainable sources of energy through services such as inspection, expediting, technical auditing, and site construction support.As an NDT Supervisor (Pipe Mill) you will be responsible for providing assistance to Client in the overall monitoring, surveillance and/or supervision of the facilities pipe activities and the procedures necessary in achieving the desired level of quality as it pertains to the project.Location: Youngstown, OHAnticipated Projection Duration: Starting ASAP to the end of 2026. Working 12 hour shifts.Hourly Pay Rate: $55.00What you'll do:Minimum Level ASNT II certification + API 5L and API 5CT standardsParticipate in project meetings as neededSupervise inspectors on a day-to-day basis to enforce effective utilization and timely verification of the project quality objectives as neededWitness testing, perform verifications, and monitor project activitiesAssess/Audit contractor, subcontractor, and vendor activities to ensure effective execution of the quality assurance programs and planCompile information relating to contractor, subcontractor, or vendor quality, which can be used to support changes in their quality assurance programs, plans and proceduresReport the status of the contractors, subcontractors, or vendors overall quality assurance program to Client and its specific effectiveness on the project as it relates to non-destructive testing performed by the pipe manufacturerProvide coordination effort and assistance as requested by Client and Lead Pipe Mill InspectorPrepare and issue inspection reportThis position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. The position assumes that the incumbent has both the mental and physical requirements to carry out the above defined duties.Type of Commodity (Equipment): Pipe MillWhat it takes to be successful in this role:Minimum Level ASNT II certification + API 5L and API 5CT standardsStrong experience in NDT methods (UT, MT, PT, VT and related techniques)Previous experience within a pipe mill / tubular manufacturing environmentAutonomous, proactive and able to work independentlyExperience representing clients / acting as owner's representative would be considered a strong advantageIntertek: Total Quality.
