Neonatal Nurse Practitioner - Albuquerque, New Mexico Position Overview Specialty: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP)
Opportunity: Permanent
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Clinical Setting: Level III NICU
Unit Size: 30 beds
Average Daily Census: Approximately 15 patients
Nursery: NICU only; no nursery coverage
Coverage Model: In-house NNPs with out-of-house neonatologists
Practice Model: Collaborative, team-based care
Qualifications & Certification Graduate of an accredited Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program
Board-Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BC)
Strong clinical expertise in Level III NICU care
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to collaborative, team-based practice
Dedication to evidence-based, family-centered care
Clinical Setting 30-bed Level III NICU
Average daily census of approximately 15 patients
In-house NNP coverage
Out-of-house neonatologist coverage
Collaborative care with neonatologists, residents, and multidisciplinary team members
Responsibilities Provide comprehensive neonatal care in a Level III NICU
Participate in high-risk delivery attendance and neonatal resuscitation
Collaborate with neonatologists, residents, and multidisciplinary team members
Communicate effectively with families regarding care plans and patient progress
Provide evidence-based, family-centered neonatal care
