Job description
Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology Join our dedicated team of Neonatologists and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners at a leading children's hospital in Macon, Georgia. This facility, opened in 2019, boasts a state-of-the-art Level-III NICU and is recognized as a Magnet Hospital for Nursing Excellence. With a strong emphasis on collaboration and exceptional patient care, our practice serves as a vital resource for the community, catering to the unique needs of pediatric patients.
Job Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive care in a 66-bed, state-of-the-art Level-III NICU.
Work variable shifts including 10-hour days M-TH and 8-hour shifts on weekends.
Cover 16-hour nights, 4 days per week with no call responsibilities.
Utilize advanced services including high-frequency ventilation, nitric oxide therapy, and brain cooling.
Collaborate with readily available subspecialty support and experience exceptional team coverage.
Participate in clinical appointments with Mercer Medical School.
Qualifications: Master's Degree and/or Doctorate in Nursing.
2+ years of current experience as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) required.
APRN National Specialty Certification - Board Certified NNP (other NP certifications not accepted).
Must possess or be willing to obtain a Georgia state license.
Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active) required.
DEA license must be obtained prior to start.
License and Certification Requirements: Georgia state nursing license (or willingness to obtain).
Board Certified NNP certification is mandatory.
