Neonatology opening in Des Moines, IA - Visa EligibleLocated in Des Moines, IA - Ames 40m; Iowa City 115m; Omaha, NE 135mFull-time; EmployedSeeking BC/BEH1B Visa Assistance; J1 Waiver Sponsorship Overview: Join an established team of seven board-certified Neonatologists and thirteen experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners with long-standing professional relationships Practice in a Level IIIB, 44-bed NICU featuring single-patient rooms and specialized accommodations for multiples, supported by pediatric subspecialties including cardiology, surgery, gastroenterology, pulmonology, endocrinology, hematology, genetics, ophthalmology, and ENT Care for critically ill newborns delivered locally or transferred from network hospitals, including extremely premature infants and those with complex medical and surgical needs managed through the Fetal-Neonatal Center Utilize advanced therapies including non-invasive ventilation, conventional ventilation, high-frequency jet and oscillatory ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide, and therapeutic hypothermia Manage a busy service with approximately 950-1,050 NICU admissions and 4,500-5,500 births annually, supported by dietitians, pediatric pharmacists, OT/PT and speech therapists, social workers, lactation specialists, and case managers Comp/Benefits: Initial two-year salary guarantee with opportunity to exceed compensation through an innovative productivity model Attractive incentive package with comprehensive health, dental, vision, retirement, and malpractice coverage Generous PTO, CME allowance, and dedicated physician resources supporting work-life balance Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligible with complimentary loan restructuring assistance Professional development opportunities and an inclusive culture committed to physician support Group/Facility Info: Children's hospital dedicated exclusively to pediatric care with a family-centered environment Level IIIB NICU with 44 beds and comprehensive pediatric subspecialty support Experienced team of neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners with strong ancillary support services Fetal-Neonatal Center providing advanced prenatal and neonatal care Fully integrated physician-led healthcare system focused on quality, collaboration, and patient-centered care About the Area:Greater Des Moines is one of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the Midwest, offering a low cost of living, excellent schools, diverse neighborhoods, and a vibrant cultural scene.
