Neonatologist Opening Fredericksburg, VA Located in Fredericksburg, VirginiaFull-Time, Permanent Practice Overview Full-time Neonatologist opportunity at a growing Level III NICU in Fredericksburg, Virginia Join an established neonatal team consisting of: 2 Neonatologists 4.5 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners Provide comprehensive neonatal care in the NICU and newborn nursery Attend and manage high-risk deliveries in collaboration with Obstetrics and Maternal-Fetal Medicine teams Care for an average daily census of 9 Äì11 patients Practice within an 8-bed Level III NICU supported by 10 Labor, Delivery, Recovery (LDR) couplet care rooms Collaborate with experienced NICU nursing and respiratory therapy teams Mentor NICU staff as the program continues to expand Participate in clinical protocol development, quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety programs Work closely with hospital leadership to support continued growth of the neonatal service line Opportunity to earn additional income through optional moonlighting assignments across Virginia Week-on/week-off schedule providing excellent work-life balance Home call during scheduled service week Experienced Neonatologists only; new graduates are not being considered Visa sponsorship is not available Compensation & Recruitment Package Competitive compensation based on experience Potential sign-on bonus Relocation assistance available Additional earning potential through optional moonlighting opportunities Job Qualifications MD or DO Board Certified in Pediatrics Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neonatology Virginia medical license or eligibility DEA registration required prior to start Prior Neonatology practice experience required Clean malpractice and licensure history strongly preferred Visa sponsorship is not available Benefits Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance Life and disability insurance 401(k) retirement plan Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) Health Savings Account (HSA) Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Voluntary supplemental benefit plans Supportive work-life balance with a week-on/week-off schedule Collaborative physician-led practice environment Community DetailsFredericksburg offers the charm of a historic Virginia community with convenient access to Washington, D.C., and Richmond.
