Neonatologist Full-Time Level III NICU Lexington, KY
Seeking a full-time Neonatologist to join a collaborative and well-supported Level III NICU team in Lexington, Kentucky. This permanent opportunity offers a team-oriented environment focused on high-quality neonatal care, procedural proficiency, and strong work-life balance. This position requires local residency, and relocation assistance may be available. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
Practice Setting:
32-bed Level III NICU
Approximately 4,000 annual deliveries
Busy newborn nursery service
Collaborative team consisting of 2 Neonatologists and 2 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners during daytime hours
24/7 in-house Neonatal Nurse Practitioner coverage
Home-based night call responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive neonatal care in the NICU and newborn nursery
Perform and maintain proficiency in neonatal procedures
Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
Participate in mentorship, professional development, and quality care initiatives
Qualifications:
Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
Kentucky medical license or willingness to obtain
DEA required prior to start
Clean malpractice and licensure history strongly preferred
NPDB self-query report dated within 30 days required at presentation
Must reside locally to the practice location
Open to new graduates
