nPosition Overview
nMercyOne Waterloo is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Neonatologist to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to provide specialized care for newborns in a supportive, family-centered environment, including couplet care when appropriate to promote bonding and continuity of care.
nPractice Highlights
nnnLevel III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
n
nnNICU Bed Count: 10 beds
n
nnAverage Daily Census: 5-6
n
nnCall Schedule: Shared call with pediatric team; typically, 1:3 Shared call with neonatologist. They are currently doing 1:2
n
nnNICU Team: Experienced neonatal nurses, respiratory therapists, lactation consultants, and case managers dedicated to family-centered care
n
nnCollaborative team including pediatricians, obstetricians, and nursing staff
n
nnOpportunity to participate in quality improvement initiatives and education
n
n nResponsibilities
nnnProvide comprehensive care for premature and critically ill newborns
n
nnCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes
n
nnEducate families and support staff on neonatal care
n
nnMaintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
n
n nCompensation & Benefits
nnnGuaranteed Salary: $346,920
n
nnCommencement Bonus: $70,000
n
nnLongevity Bonus: $30,000 after Year 4
n
nnMoving Allowance: $15,000
n
