Bronx, New York, Nephrology Nurse Practitioner Job

Permanent job opening
Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible nurse practitioner
Must have 6+ months of post-training experience as an NP in nephrology
Outpatient-only position
Work collaboratively with nephrologists to evaluate and manage patients with kidney-related conditions
Monday-Friday, 9a-5p
Ability to work 3-5 days per week
Part-time or full-time options available
Call schedule to be determined
Bilingual in Spanish preferred, not required
H-1B visa sponsorship available, if needed
Conduct consultations, review medical histories, and perform patient assessments
Evaluate kidney function and develop individualized treatment plans
Treat and manage kidney-related illnesses and monitor patient progress
Order and review appropriate diagnostic testing
Assess the need for dialysis and coordinate recommendations with the nephrology team
Refer patients for surgical evaluation when indicated
Prescribe and administer medications within scope of practice
Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and ongoing care
Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
Master's degree from an accredited nurse practitioner program
Proficiency in nephrology care required
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and written and verbal communication
Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to patient care

Organization Information:
Salary range: $135,000-$150,000
Listed compensation may include bonuses and incentives
