About the Opportunity
We are seeking a talented .NET Developer to join a leading digital commerce and eCommerce technology organization that supports a portfolio of well-known home improvement and specialty retail brands. This team is responsible for building and enhancing customer-facing applications and backend services that power large-scale online shopping experiences.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on modern cloud-based applications, distributed systems, and high-traffic digital platforms while collaborating with an experienced engineering team in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications, APIs, and backend services using .NET and .NET Core.
Build and enhance ASP.NET web applications and RESTful APIs that support eCommerce and business-critical platforms.
Develop solutions within distributed system architectures, leveraging messaging and event-driven technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, UX, QA, and other engineering groups to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and best practice initiatives.
Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve application performance, scalability, and reliability.
Contribute to modernization efforts and help drive continuous improvement across development processes and technology stacks.
Required Qualifications
Strong experience developing applications using C#, .NET, and .NET Core.
Proven experience building Web APIs and ASP.NET web applications.
Experience with JavaScript and modern front-end development practices.
Hands-on experience with React.js preferred.
Experience designing and developing applications in distributed systems environments.
Familiarity with messaging/event-driven frameworks such as: NServiceBus
Azure Service Bus
Amazon SQS
Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, object-oriented design, and API development.
Experience working within Agile development methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as: GitHub Copilot
Cursor
Claude Code
Experience working in cloud environments and modern microservices architectures.
Background supporting high-volume eCommerce or customer-facing digital platforms.
Additional Information
Candidates must be local to the Houston area.
Hybrid work arrangement with onsite attendance required Monday through Thursday and remote work flexibility on Fridays.
