Cable/Network Technician (Evening Shift)Hours: Work Schedule: 2pm - 12am - Thursday - SundayDuration: 06 months with possible extensions or hirePay Rate: $27/hr on W2Location: Onsite - Richmond, VA 23228Description:Data Technician with a proven track record in:Fiber optic cabling installation, inspection and cleaningCopper cable termination and certificationCable patching between devicesRacking and stacking of network devicesPhysical layer troubleshootingEquipment disposal activitiesNetwork troubleshooting.Experience and Education:Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in data communications:The patching cabling between network equipment and customer’s networkThe installation of power cables from equipment to power supply in rack/cabinet/closetThe installation, troubleshooting and de-installing network equipmentInstall/swap out devices (e.g., phone, computers, cables, boards, edge routers, switches and etc.)Install, troubleshoot, and de-install Network monitoring toolsComplete all hard and complex Move, Add Change (MAC) requests within the defined service levelsResponsibilities:The installation of copper and fiber optic cabling and support infrastructureThe patching cabling between network equipment and customer’s networkThe installation of power cables from equipment to power supply in rack/cabinet/closetThe installation, troubleshooting and de-installing network equipmentInstall/swap out devices (e.g., phone, computers, cables, boards, edge routers, switches and etc.
